Penang Marathon and holiday

When I decided to register I actually planned to travel alone in case none of my friends want to join me for a trip. Eventually two of them were able to join. I booked a 0710 flight on Saturday to Penang, booked a cab through mobile app. Initially felt insecure booking a cab through an app but the responsible driver actually arrived 10 minutes earlier. Arrived at airport at 0600 and rushed to print my boarding pass (I checked-in via mobile). Couldn't help but must get my morning coffee and then the ATM. I was kinda late so I was "walk-running" to the gate hoping I wasn't the last one, sat down at 0657. Start taking off at 0718 and took roughly around 15 minutes to fly.

Reached at 0815, instead of taking a cab, I took a rapid shuttle 102 to Macalister Road, which cost me RM 2.70 to meet up with a friend. Arrived at Macalister Road at around 0915 and walked to Hotel Sentral, the bus driver was very courtesy answering passenger's questions. Together with my friend we took bus 103 to Georgetown City Hotel to drop our luggage and went for shopping. I must say the public transport in Penang is way better than PJ and KL, we traveled by bus most of the time.

Shopped at Paragon Mall from noon till evening and got ourselves freaking tired. We bought some food and sat by the seaside to eat and chat. It wasn't my first time in Penang but I find this trip wonderful because we make use of the public transport very well.

The run was great too, I manage to maintain the whole 10km non stop and was faster than my previous run for 20 seconds. Some people might think it's stupid to come all the way to Penang just for 10km but my purpose is to gain experience so I care less about what people say :)

The awesome me! XD

10km and 42km finisher medal

Although there are only 3 of us but we did enjoyed the trip. Walked around Penang streets to spot all wall murals, visited the monkey cup farm. It was a healthy trip because we walked a lot haha...
